Japan Part 4

13 Jan

I stopped at the waterfalls for the last entry, therefore I’m gonna pick up from there.

Why?

Because I took a lot of pictures there! HAHAHA!

My snow angel!

I once attempted to do a snow angel when I was in America but it wasn’t successful!

It was so cold the first time I tried!

I think it’s because the things I wore, then, were not as warm, and I was almost lying on cold hard ground instead of a thick layer of snow! HAHA!

Thick snow may be fun for making snow balls and snow angels, they can be a nuisance when it comes to motor skiing!

IT WAS DAMN FREAKING COLD DURING THE RIDE.

We were paired up, and I was with my cousin, Brevian.

Before the start of the ride, I passed her my camera and told her to take pictures during the ride; The scenery, herself, myself.

But I guess I was asking too much, because in order to take pictures of the rider when you are a pillion, you need photowhores like myself.

Therefore, when she was the pillion, she only took the above picture, and this:

Oh well~!

Wasted my steady riding, because I rode very well there! So well, that Otes would be proud lor. Really. The riding lessons paid off afterall. HAHA!

IT WAS MORE DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER A VEHICLE IN THE SNOW LEH!

The motor bikes you see on the road has one thin wheel for you to turn, but the motor ski has two skis to control! And snow not smooth de leh~!

Wah lao.

Somebody praise me please!

On the way back, I let Brevian be the driver, and look at the number of pictures I managed to take!

Couldn’t take a full picture of us, therefore took the shadow. HAHA!

Really man, I think everybody should practice to be a camwhore.

Other than the fact that I’d have more pictures to edit, if it were my camera, it’s awesome! Now I have so many pictures to look back on, THANKS TO ME! =D

Motor skiing wasn’t the funnest thing to play with, actually.

We had to follow the instructor in a line and they tell us we shouldn’t overtake…

=(

… thus the ride was very slow and we had to slow down or stop whenever the person in front of us decided to slow down.

-_-”

So slow that I could take self picture lor!

We saw a pair of girls stopping by the side, and the instructors went to help. Turned out, their motor ski broke down and they couldn’t get it to start!

Because we were in the middle of nowhere, the instructors told the girls to hop on, and they ended up sitting behind the instructors leh!

THEY GOT TO TRAVEL AT FAST SPEED!

You should know, no speed = no thrill!!!

Brevian and I were like EEEYYYYEEERRR!! WE ALSO WANT!!!

We got our wishes soon enough lor.

Not the riding with instructors part, though.

We capsized the ski and got thrown in to a thick layer of snow, and the motor ski miraculously managed to turn itself back to original position and rode away from us.

HAHAHA.

No, really.

You see, the reason why we were told to follow the instructors were because they knew which path to take and which are the ‘roads’ for us to travel on.

Those paths that were not frequently rode on has a thick layer of snow, and if you’ve played with snow before, you’d know that when you step on untouched snow, your leg will fall right in and create a dent as the snow is not compressed.

Before us, A LOT of motor skis capsized, and I was still telling Brevian to ride slowly and steadily, else we’d end up like that.

She went out of course nonetheless.

*shrugs*

IT WAS FUN CAPSIZING, THOUGH!

HAHAHAHA!

If you can see the enlarged version of the picture above, you will see ice on my eyelashes too lor! HAHA!

It got freaking cold after a while the whole left side of my face got numb and I had difficulty talking. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Motor skiing was FUN afterall!!!

I wanna do it again!

Japan Part 3

10 Jan

When we were in Hokkaido, we were brought to see two waterfall, supposedly majestic.

Mom forced me to put on thick ugly pants because the venues we were visiting on a one fine day was gonna be minus 10 degrees and we’d be going motor skiing. =(

I told her I ai sui mai mia (loosely translated into Chinese/English (because it’s a Hokkien phrase): 要美不要命/want pretty don’t want live) but she won’t hear nothing of it. =(

Hai.

Ugly pants it is.

I wasn’t wearing the winter coat because the bus was just beside me and I hopped into the bus immediately after that picture. Hohoho.

Anyway, first stop of that day was to the waterfalls, but instead of waterfalls, what we saw was… erm…

… icefall.

It’s not even ice fall because the ice were just there, not falling. All water was frozen in time la. And in this case, frozen in the weather.

When we stopped and alighted, my mother asked:

Where’s the waterfall?

And I was like:

There!

She squinted her eyes trying to look through the many winter trees, and I finally did her a favour by spotting a true, small, portion of the waterfall. So being the awesome daughter that I am, I zoomed in my camera and took a close up picture for her.

THERE. WATERFALL.

We decided we didn’t wanna waste our time and gawk over non existent waterfalls, thus we went around taking pictures of snow and being snow queen for a day!

WHEE~!!

It was damn cold there, and every part of my body was toasty warm EXCEPT FOR MY TOES AND FINGERS.

Seriously, I have no idea why.

I was wearing two pairs of socks, and I had two pairs of gloves on. T.T

Oh and I realized that I do jump shots all the time! It’s getting so boring! HAHA! I’m gonna stop jumping in photos!

The Hokkaido Jump

The Korea Jump

The Phuket Jump

The New Zealand Jump

The Krabi Jump

And to add insult to injury, all the jumps look the same! HAHA!

Bah!

I find that I get very bored easily blogging these days. Therefore, I shall end this post abrubtly with a picture of the frozen waterfall! HAHA!

Japan Part 2

9 Jan

Is the Tiger from Tiger beer a male or a female tiger?

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

Male.

Because a female tiger is called Tigress. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Miao~

Ok la I’m just being random.

I’ve decided to write about my Japan entry based on the pictures, unlike what I did for the Korea entries.

For Korea, I mostly updated on the activities and supported them with pictures. I don’t feel like doing that for Japan cause I don’t wanna update a lot (wahahaha) thus I’m gonna fish out the nicer pictures and then post them randomly! Yay!

Now I’ll have shorter things to blog about, and you, shorter things to read about since I do know I am long winded!

Win-win situation. Yes, I love you too!

I kept taking pictures with him on the bus (read: on different days, in different clothings!) and he asked me: “Why keep taking pictures? Thought we took before liao?” in the as-a-matter-of-fact tone. -_-”

Ok, you remember I dedicated an entire entry to the meals I had in Korea right?

I was expecting so much more for the meals in Japan, but it turned out to be worse than Korea!

It was mostly buffet, and when it wasn’t buffet, it was steamboat, or something not nice.

Ya. That about sums up why I didn’t like the food there.

Bah.

The only thing good about the buffet there was they have ice cream for every meal to make up for the lousy food, and they have unlimited sashimi!!! WAHAHA!

I’m not a lover of fish of any kind, raw or cooked, but if you’re a sashimi lover, you’d probably love the idea of having buffet for practically every meal.

I guess it’s only natural for them to be so generous about the sashimi since they are surrounded by seas and they have abundance of salmon everywhere!

We went to this village and they had like 2 or 3 of such salmon ‘walls’.

Not gonna talk about the village because I don’t really know much about the village and the people BECAUSE JIMMY NEVER TOLD US.

THAT TOUR GUIDE SUCKS BALLS!

BAH!

I am, however, gonna share something very saddening with you.

One of the itineraries in our tour was a rice wine factory, and they allowed wine tasting.

My Godmom was drinking tasting it, and her eldest daughter who was 18 asked if it was nice. Since they allowed her to drink, and 18 is the legal age for one to drink in Singapore, she brought the cup to her daughter’s mouth to feed her.

Before the cup even touched her lips, the attendant shouted loudly at my aunt (who had her back to him) and told her no.

Turns out, Japan has a strict policy on underage drinking, and their legal age to drink is 20 years old.

We were all very shocked that the attendant actually shouted at us, but I told my Godmom:

Eh Godma, you try feeding me leh. See if they will shout at you or not. Hehehe.

Well, I was kidding, but she rejected me anyway, claiming she doesn’t dare to. HAHAHA.

Anyway, with no intention of tasting any of their wines, I walked near the counter to see what kinda drinks they have, and why they had so many different kinds of rice wine.

To my dismay, the attendant looked at me, AND OFFERED ME THE WINE! =(

Sad.

It means I look over 20 liao.

Ka pui.

BOTOX!!! I NEED BOTOX!!!

=(
