Playground!

27 May

I remember and when Ashton was still a cute little toddler, he loved it when I bring him to the playground.

My Sissy Tan and 姐夫 Lew had to work on Saturdays, and Ashton was thrown to Mama Tan’s care, I would bring him down to play when Mama Tan is cooking, or has to mop the floor.

Ashton would be so excited! He would rush to bring his shoes to me so I can put it on for him, then hold my hand and pull me along so we could reach the playground earlier.

BUT TIMES HAVE CHANGED.

Last weekend, I decided to bring the kids downstairs to have a go at the new playground under my block.

I asked “WHO WANTS TO GO TO THE PLAYGROUND?!

Every time I asked that, back then, Ashton and Claudia would raise their hands and shout to me excitedly: “ME!!!” and they would automatically run to put on their shoes.

Last week, Mei Mei sprung up and got her shoes, but Ashton stayed at the sofa, as though he didn’t hear me.

So I asked again: “WHO WANTS TO GO TO THE PLAYGROUND!!!

Because Claudia didn’t answer me when I asked it the first time, she replied: “ME!

But Ashton STILL didn’t want to reply me!

So I went up to him and asked:

Ashton! Do you want to go to the playground?
No
Why not?!
The playground downstairs is not fun.
Have you been there?
Yes.

I didn’t believe that the reason why he didn’t want to go to the playground was because it was not fun. I believe it was because he wanted to play Wii or iPad or DS. So I tried to lure him.

I’m bringing Mei Mei to buy sweets you know! If you never go, then no sweets for you.
Then share la?
No, if you didn’t go then you can’t have it!

Ok la, that is bad, because we’re suppose to teach them to share, BUT WHAT THE HELL LA, I JUST WANT HIM OUT OF THE HOUSE!

After hearing me say he can’t share it with Mei Mei, YOU KNOW WHAT HE REPLIED?!

We’re sick. Cannot eat sweets.

!!!

He just gave up the chance to buy sweets because he wanted to play games! *face palm*

Well somehow, I got angry, so I told him to off the game and tag along. Then he got very frustrated, so I used reverse psychology and said:

OK. YOU STAY AT HOME. DON’T GO! MEI MEI AND I WILL GO HAVE FUN AND BUY SWEETS AND EAT ICE CREAM. YOU STAY HOME!

Well, luckily, he wasn’t sulking when we reached the playground. He was enjoying the playground like how a normal kid would! =)

Lol, see the above picture?

They were climbing up the slide and Claudia was trying to stop Ashton and Ashton was laughing and screaming for help as Claudia tried to pull him down. Lol.

I remember when Ashton was a toddler, and first found out about playgrounds, he’d come into my room on Saturdays, catch me when I was still in bed and ask me: “Playground?”

Now, even though he was having fun, he actually still preferred to go home.

I know because he told me that he wanted to go homem after awhile, and Claudia was like: “I don’t wanna go home!

Thankfully Claudia didn’t wanna go home, because I didn’t want them to go back so early!

I want them to fun real fun like normal kids! Not coop up at home all day and get obsessed with video games!

So I told him we’d stay for another 10 more minutes because Claudia wanted to play.

This is crazy.

ROLES SWAPPED CAN!

First, I had to force him to the playground, then I had to force him to stay longer when he wanted to go home!

!??!!?

WHAT IS THE WORLD BECOMING TO?!

Forcing them (Ashton) to the playground was a good idea, though. Because the two smelly little ones don’t like to drink water, and I only brought them down for half an hour and they finished one bottle of ice mountain each. HA! That’s good right!

Next time, I’m gonna buy badminton rackets and bring them out for badminton! =)

Walking the dogs!

31 Jan

On the second day of Chinese New Year, we went to my Aunt’s house!

Unlike past years, I didn’t take many pictures this year! Well, because I couldn’t be bothered to charge my camera because it disappointed me much when I brought it to the States, and I didn’t wanna photo whore much with my phone camera. Thus you won’t be seeing much of me in this entry. Or rather, you won’t be seeing me at all in this entry.

And we cousins (Vione, Nicole, Charlene Tan and I) forgot to take our annual CNY group picture!!! =(((((( Sad.

Huh what? You die also wanna see me?

Ok la ok la.

=D

Ok, back to my title, DOG WALKING!

As you all probably has heard me say, my aunt’s house is like  a pound. So many dogs la!

And so every year when we go to her house, the kids’ favourite place would be her backyard, where the dogs are. This year is no exception.

They usually just keep hanging around the backyard, but this year, my Aunt made her maid walk the dogs, and the kids wanted to tag along!

Me, being the Yiyi, had to tag along to look after the kids because (haha!) the kids’ maid is scared of dogs. HAHAHAHAHA. She went out with us, but kept at such a distance I don’t even know why she came out to walk the dogs with us.

Oh well,

LET’S WALK THE DOGS! =D

The black dog on leash is Max.

He is SO tame, he puts Stylus (Otes’s dog) to shame.

Ok, maybe because he’s old, and doesn’t have much strength, but he’s SUCH a good boy!

He was on the the kids’ pace through out the whole walk with them! I keep thinking if the kids tried to walk Stylus, they’d prolly fall trying to keep up to Stylus’s pace. Otes’s dog is SO energetic that I don’t even have the strength to walk him, let alone the kids.

The brown dog is Bambi.

My Aunt had told the kids that Bambi is a little naughty so Claudia is a little cautious towards her.

Let’s start the walk! =D

Through out the whole walk, the kids were fighting to walk Max, because the kids didn’t dare to walk Bambi. Ok, by the kids, I meant Ashton. Claudia is braver than her brother! She wanted to walk Bambi when Ashton refused to pass her the leash to Max, but my Aunt’s maid rejected, because she didn’t wanna take the risk. Bambi, is after all, a little naughty. Lol.

姐夫 Lew tried to come up with an explanation about why Ashton is so timid, and he said he saw a show, or read somewhere (can’t remember which) that left handers are more cowardly and timid. Well, Ashton is a left-hander.

It would have made sense if only… HIS YIYI IS NOT A LEFT HANDER TOO. HAHAHAHHAA.

Sissy Tan then said:

Ya right. Look at his Yiyi.

NO WHERE NEAR COWARDLY NOR TIMID HOR. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Left handers more timid proved wrong.

I think, however, the younger siblings are usually braver. *ahem*

Sissy Tan always pushed me to do the things she didn’t dare to do when we were young. Like go up to the McDonald’s counter to take ketchup, or something.

Do you know Claudia once went up to the drink store alone to buy drinks? Ashton didn’t even dare to do that! And to further stress on how brave she was, Sissy Tan and I were no where near her when she walked up to the drink store owner to get drinks.

Aww Mei Mei, Yiyi is so proud of you!

Back to walking the dogs.

Bambi took a dump not long after we started walking, and the kids started to say Max wanted to take a dump too.

Ashton then said Max’s dump was stuck to his ass, and he kept trying to show it to Claudia.

He then asked the maid if that was Max’s shit sticking out, and she said yes. So Claudia squatted down to the the piece of hanging faeces. -_-

After walking for quite some time, the kids were amused that the piece of shit has yet to fall out on its own, so they started to study it.

It was so funny, so I went up to see what they were looking at.

IT TURNED OUT TO BE MAX’S BALLS. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.

Aiyo kids, why you two so cartoon?! HAHAHAHA.

We went back after awhile, while the maid continued to walk the dogs.

Then Sissy Tan saw this at the backyard and asked what that was.

Can you guess?

It’s a fly trap!

The piece of thing there is not a stone, but dog poo. Somewhere near the dog poo is a little hole big enough for a fly to fly in. And apparently, flies will only fly up, so it’d be tricked to another compartment, where they’ll fly around for awhile before discovering the entrance to another compartment. Little do the flies know, THAT’S WHERE THEY WILL DIE.

Omg.

This man-made fly trap is ingenious can?!

Ok.

That’s all for walking the dogs!

Last picture! =D

Being Happy

27 Oct

There are many ways of being happy, and different people are driven by different things.

Some of us are happy when we photowhore…

Some of us are happy playing sports *cough cough with cough cough eye candy*…

Some of us are happy because of the little children around us…

Some of us are happy when we draw…

Some of us are happy due to our awesome friends…

Some of us are happy when we have a lot of accessories, or a lot of big diamonds…

Some of us are happy when we get to send our love ones home…

*cough cough*

Some of us are happy when we see our idols…

Some of us are happy making out, making love, or making babies…

Some of us are happy beautifying our nails…

Some of us are happy working…

Some of us are happy when we play games…

All the above that I’ve mentioned makes me happy.

In fact, there are far more things that can put a smile to my face.

I am happy looking at fuckable bodies, I am happy when I am with my family, I am happy when I sleep, I am happy when I shop, I am happy eating, I am happy singing…

And the list can go on and on and on…

.
.
.

But.

I realised.

I am happiest…

With you.

Mid-Autumn Festival

12 Sep

Hi!

It’s Mid-Autumn Festival today! (Or Lantern Festival, or Mooncake Festival, as to how some call it.)

If you do celebrate this festival, I’m guessing you would have done it over the weekends already. For me? I don’t give two hoots about mooncakes nor the tea. (Cares about the moon, though.)

I do, however, give hoots about my two little precious, and since this is a perfect excuse to let them have fun and take pictures of their smiles, I bought them lanterns over the weekends!

Claudia was so excited when I brought her to get the lanterns, and when I told her she can only play with it when the sky is dark, she kept telling me the sky is dark even when it’s still damn bright out there.

BUT.

When we finally went down, lit the lanterns and passed it to the kids, she walked for 10 steps before deciding that it’s no fun, and kept whining. =(

So we sort of, like, went downstairs to light the candles, then blow the candles out, and call it a day for our mini celebration for mid-autumn. HAHAHA.

Pffft.

Happy mid-autumn, readers of MoonGoddess.wordpress.com!

Icing Room with My Precious

29 Aug

Every time we walk pass the Icing Room at Causeway Point with Claudia, she will pause to look at the cakes on display.

She’s never stopped at cake shops, but Icing Room’s display just draws her in. Obviously, because it’s all pink and princessy, and the cakes all look so sweet.

I remember the first time we walked passed Icing room, two weeks ago, Claudia refused to budge and kept pulling me to the display. Both Claudia and I then got lost with the rest (Sissy Tan, 姐夫 Lew, Mama Tan and Ashton) and I had to call Sissy to ask where she was. She then asked:

Are you girls at  the Icing room? I knew my daughter would be stuck there.

So then and there, I told Claudia:

You be a good girl k? Yiyi will bring you here to decorate your own cake. Next week, ok?

Surprisingly, she nodded, said ok, and walked off with me to look for the rest of them.

So last week we brought the kids to decorate their own cake! =D

It would be wrong to say they were decorating the cake, actually. They were just putting drops of icing on the cake.

Literally.

It was a bit sad to see that they were not putting the slightest effort to draw anything! They just took the icing and squeezed. =(

Since the kids only drew scribbled destroyed the face of the cake, I decided to chup ji kar (direct translate: stuck one leg in) and drew a Domokun on the side. HAHA! Eh, lets face it, they already defaced the cake, there’s nothing I can do to make it worse.

MUAHAHA.

SAY IT!

SAY MY DOMOKUN IS CUTE!!!

I even added little hearts by the side!

Sissy Tan and I let the kids destroy the cake till there was not much space left for them to drop the icing, because we decided to call it a day and forced them to pose with their creation.

Before that, there were three teen girls behind us. I believe they are artistically DEclined, or they simply adore abstract art. Their work on their cake was almost as messy as the work of my two precious, but theirs was… hmm. Ok. Just messy. (Whereas the kids’ work was anyhow.)

Well. They looked over at the kids’ work and said:

Wah! 还有人的比我们乱!” (Loosely translated: Still got people’s cake messier than ours.)

Oi!

Shame on you girls! Their total age added up is not even comparable to one of you ok!

Anyway, I took into consideration that if I took their work home, Mama Tan sure make noise, so I decided to destroy it further. (Since will make noise, might as well just.. HAHAHAHA. JUST only.)

MUAHAHA!!!

(It’s still sitting in my fridge. Can’t imagine what Mama Tan will say when she sees the cake.)

Well, the outlook of the cake may have been destroyed, but the kids were smiling from their hearts.
