I remember and when Ashton was still a cute little toddler, he loved it when I bring him to the playground.
My Sissy Tan and 姐夫 Lew had to work on Saturdays, and Ashton was thrown to Mama Tan’s care, I would bring him down to play when Mama Tan is cooking, or has to mop the floor.
Ashton would be so excited! He would rush to bring his shoes to me so I can put it on for him, then hold my hand and pull me along so we could reach the playground earlier.
BUT TIMES HAVE CHANGED.
Last weekend, I decided to bring the kids downstairs to have a go at the new playground under my block.
I asked “WHO WANTS TO GO TO THE PLAYGROUND?!“
Every time I asked that, back then, Ashton and Claudia would raise their hands and shout to me excitedly: “ME!!!” and they would automatically run to put on their shoes.
Last week, Mei Mei sprung up and got her shoes, but Ashton stayed at the sofa, as though he didn’t hear me.
So I asked again: “WHO WANTS TO GO TO THE PLAYGROUND!!!“
Because Claudia didn’t answer me when I asked it the first time, she replied: “ME!“

But Ashton STILL didn’t want to reply me!
So I went up to him and asked:
“Ashton! Do you want to go to the playground?“
“No“
“Why not?!“
“The playground downstairs is not fun.“
“Have you been there?“
“Yes.“
I didn’t believe that the reason why he didn’t want to go to the playground was because it was not fun. I believe it was because he wanted to play Wii or iPad or DS. So I tried to lure him.
“I’m bringing Mei Mei to buy sweets you know! If you never go, then no sweets for you.“
“Then share la?“
“No, if you didn’t go then you can’t have it!“
Ok la, that is bad, because we’re suppose to teach them to share, BUT WHAT THE HELL LA, I JUST WANT HIM OUT OF THE HOUSE!
After hearing me say he can’t share it with Mei Mei, YOU KNOW WHAT HE REPLIED?!
“We’re sick. Cannot eat sweets.“
!!!
He just gave up the chance to buy sweets because he wanted to play games! *face palm*
Well somehow, I got angry, so I told him to off the game and tag along. Then he got very frustrated, so I used reverse psychology and said:
“OK. YOU STAY AT HOME. DON’T GO! MEI MEI AND I WILL GO HAVE FUN AND BUY SWEETS AND EAT ICE CREAM. YOU STAY HOME!“
Well, luckily, he wasn’t sulking when we reached the playground. He was enjoying the playground like how a normal kid would! =)

Lol, see the above picture?
They were climbing up the slide and Claudia was trying to stop Ashton and Ashton was laughing and screaming for help as Claudia tried to pull him down. Lol.
I remember when Ashton was a toddler, and first found out about playgrounds, he’d come into my room on Saturdays, catch me when I was still in bed and ask me: “Playground?”
Now, even though he was having fun, he actually still preferred to go home.
I know because he told me that he wanted to go homem after awhile, and Claudia was like: “I don’t wanna go home!“

Thankfully Claudia didn’t wanna go home, because I didn’t want them to go back so early!
I want them to fun real fun like normal kids! Not coop up at home all day and get obsessed with video games!
So I told him we’d stay for another 10 more minutes because Claudia wanted to play.
This is crazy.
ROLES SWAPPED CAN!
First, I had to force him to the playground, then I had to force him to stay longer when he wanted to go home!
!??!!?
WHAT IS THE WORLD BECOMING TO?!

Forcing them (Ashton) to the playground was a good idea, though. Because the two smelly little ones don’t like to drink water, and I only brought them down for half an hour and they finished one bottle of ice mountain each. HA! That’s good right!
Next time, I’m gonna buy badminton rackets and bring them out for badminton! =)
